Fortunately, Kirby copied his pencils before he sent them off to be inked. I am reproducing the pencils published in The Jack Kirby Collector #9

Description

Seems to have been originally intended for the front cover of the fourth issue of the 1984 New Gods reprint series. For some reason, it was moved to the back cover of the book and a different image was used for the front cover.

Over a decade after the original series, Jack still had inspiration to spare when he drew this... a real Kirby Klassic!
