Description

TORPEDO 1972 is the continuation of the TORPEDO series, set 30+ years after the original run. Eduardo Risso takes over for Jordi Bernet on art duties. The new series was announced with this image; a callback to an iconic Bernet TORPEDO piece by the new guy.

Originally published in Spain in 2017, the series is now translated here for us...today! TORPEDO 1972 from Ablaze is out today in comics shops. From the look of things, it's DARK TORPEDO RETURNS or OLD MAN TORPEDO. Which would be right up my alley. I'm on my way to pick it up. Can't wait to read it.

The suggestion of the chair used as a graphic element is brilliant. Of course the high contrast is impeccable!

Whoa! Stunning promo art for Torpedo 1972 by Eduardo Risso. Interesting that it homages the cover art for the TPB, only this time with just a hint of the couch--Torpedo appears to be sitting in thin air. Not sure what it means, but I'm sure intrigued. Love Risso's art so I'm sure I'll love the book when I finally read it. Great pick-up, congrats!
