Original character for KEPYR (Kids Entertainment Professionals for Young Refugees) charity auction that ran on Ebay.
11.25" x 16.75" on watercolor paper. $349 winning bid.
From the listing:
As Dan says about his inspiration, "I�ve been enchanted by the Luchador for decades- somehow the ethos goes beyond the showboats wrestling in the States, and carries a mysticism, morality and creativity I relate to as a lifelong comics fan. For my piece, I decided to create my own luchadora in Esmeralda Tormenta AKA Emerald Storm. She would fit in perfectly well with my own Nocturnals universe of characters and stories and may appear there one of these days!
As always, proceeds of our KEPYR (Kids Entertainment Professionals for Young Refugees) charity auctions go to help displaced and refugee children. This year, we are teaming up with vetted charity, La Jugarreta, to bring aid to Central American children stranded in displacement camps and shelters in Mexico

Definitely cool with the Luchadora flair and pageantry amde even more shocking with Brereton paints!
