DescriptionI attended the 2006 Heroes Convention in Charlotte NC and had a GREAT time. I've been a guest at this Convention more than any other. (I think this was my 18th or 19th time) Heroes Con attracts thousands of attendees and hundreds of guest artists for one of the most enjoyable and friendly shows in the country, thanks to the hard work of a real super hero, Shelton Drumm. A Heroes tradition is a charity and fund-raising auction of artwork, and artists are encouraged to create their donations on stage for the enjoyment of the fans. Based on a drawing I did earlier this year for my pal Michael Bair, I created a larger (on a 22''x28'' stretched canvas) painted version for my "performance piece". I'd thought about this painting for weeks before hand, and executed it Saturday in just over 5 hours, enjoying every brush stroke and enjoying the wonderful opportunity to share the experience with so many interested friends and fans!Social/Sharing |

Wonderful painting... I noticed it says it is a sketch - are you going to tweak it further or leave it as is? Either way, it's beautiful.

I saw this incredible piece at the auction and would have bid on it too if my wife wasn't in Charlotte with me. She would have crowned me if she knew I snuck out to an art auction.

Hi Craig (and fellow Craig fans), This piece is breathtaking in person. My husband and I are the incredibly lucky owners. And yes- I encouraged him to get it!

With all due respect to the other artists who also had pieces in the auction, this was in my opinion by far the best piece in Charlotte. Simply stunning!
