DescriptionThis is an idealized version of Bettie Page. And still, no drawing or painting could ever do her justice. There was no one like Bettie before or since. She's the personification of "timeless". Besides creating the Rocketeer, Dave Stevens introduced Bettie to new generations of fans. As far as I can tell, this is one of only a handful of Bettie pieces in color created by DS. She's back on CAF after being absent for a few years. I think it's pencil, markers, ink, colored pencil and whiteout (eye and lip highlights). Rest in Peace, Bettie. Rest in Peace, DS. Social/Sharing |

Lovely! But no watercolor? What kind of paper is it on?

This has always been one of my favorite pieces by Dave. I typically prefer his black and white line illustrations, but this one stands up with his best. Big congrats!

I believe this may be the sweetest Bettie Dave ever did.

Is it possible to fall in love with a drawing? Apparently so... Congrats and much jealousy!
