Description

Tom Tenney was a local Houston artist who made a big splash in the 1980s on the Robotech comics. Then he disappeared. Then he reappeared to do Force Works for Marvel in the 1990s. Then he disappeared again. Very odd. Anyway, I first met him in 1987 at a local con, and saw him draw a Grendel sketch for someone that I really liked, so I asked him to do the same for me. After it was all done, it didn't speak to me much, so I took it to fellow con-guest Sam De La Rosa, who inked her quite nicely, even adding the little bit of background that's in there. Pencil and ink on 11x14 Bristol.
