When i saw this picture, i googled Michael's name, and what i found shocked me. I never met Michael, but his art is almost in every room of my house, from his posters to his statues. Very strange but while i am typing this i am starting to cry. That a man i have never met in real life can have this influence on me. Michael i will miss you, but your art has and will touch people for a long time to come and this is a great legacy THANK YOU!

Yeah, I saw the first post in Alex Gonzalez's gallery this morning. Another senseless loss. Very, very, sad indeed.

Found about MIke's passing on Wildstom's blog... Great pic, Tim. Hard to hold back the tears... even just meeting him a few times... Rest easy, Mike... you certainly earned it.

Dude I'm still in shock!!! Like I said in my post, Mike was probably them most friendly of all The artists I know. Even sick he would still sign and sketch for his fans. Total Class act that will be missed

Thanks for Sharing such a Special Moment....I met him only once but his work just leapt from the page and engaged me--it was driven and passionate and just plain beautiful--That's how people who don't really know him--like myself--feel like I do because his work and his life speaks so personally--You just knew he put his whole heart into each beautiful page --He Will Be Missed Greatly.....My Thoughts and Prayers to His Family and Friends....

My first encounter with this guys work was way back in middle school when my friend brought some Witchblade cards to school. I've loved his work ever since, but only became a true fan after Superman/Batman: Supergirl came out. I really wished I could have met the guy, especially after hearing about how nice he was in person from all the people writing their memories of him.
