DescriptionNite Owl and Comedian in happier times...well, for Comedian, anyway. This page showcases one of Alan Moore's recurring themes: fascism vs. anarchy. The main question posed by Moore ("Who watches the Watchmen?") is implicity stated in the bottom panel. A very key page, thematically, and I'm thrilled to have this in my collection!Addendum: Thanks to fellow CAF'er Brett Corbit for pointing out that the splatter to the right of the newspaper in the bottom panel is in the same shape as the blood splatter on the smiley face button on the cover to #1 as well as the cover to #11. Moore and Gibbons' attention to detail continues to amaze. Addendum #2: When Justin Hutchinson saw this page in person, he pointed out that the knob on the fire hydrant in the bottom panel is drawn as a smiley face. Something else I missed...and now something else to appreciate. Social/Sharing |

Great score, Felix. You don't mess around do you? A friend was going to sell the page before this but then changed his mind :o(

Who are we protecting them from? Great page, Mr Lu!! Shame The Comedian's masked look didn't quite make it to the film......
