Description

1975- Another page from one of my top 3 favorite comics of all time. I'll keep chipping away at this and What If #3 but Avengers Annual 7 is getting tough to get pages from these days. Here is CL write up without the movie non-sense. The Defenders and guest star Daredevil take on the majesty of the Grandmaster on this splash page created by Marvel's cosmic master Jim Starlin (layouts) and Dan Adkins (finished art). The lower half of this page was actually told in several paragraphs of prose, similar to a pulp novel (see second image below). Along with DD, the Defenders pictured are Hulk, Doctor Strange, Nighthawk, Sub-Mariner and Valkyrie.
