Description

How cool is this? The spectacular cover to Savage Sword of Conan #3. This painting has it all: Conan, slobbering humanoids, and a damsel in distress.

Stan Lee originally made Kaluta change Conan's expression slightly because he thought the original looked too viscious. I wouldn't exactly say the final version makes him look like a pussycat!

Painted during Kaluta's peak Studio period in a medium (oil) he no longer uses. Very large, 25"x29", on masonite.
