APE 2008

�� Enrico wrote about the Japanese-Italian Sherlock Hound TV cartoon earlier this year. He watched the show in Italy as a kid and was studying the show's Japanese conte book. I discovered it as I read up on and explored the career of Hayao Miyazaki. This drawing depicts a scene from White Cliffs of Dover, one of the six episodes directed by Miyazaki. As a fan of Holmes, Miyazaki, and Casarosa, I love it.

�� Enrico's new book isThe Venice Chronicles which tells the story of his romance and marriage to Marit. He was sitting with Scott Morse and Dice Tsutsumi. On Saturday, Bill Presing filled the fourth seat. On Sunday, Ronnie del Carmen sat in and Bill moved up to sit with Derek Thompson at E-Ville Press. Marit and baby daughter Fio stopped by on Sunday. Fio is one cute kid.
