Description

This is a set of 5 stapled letter-sized pages of penciled Layout thumbnails that Steve Rude created, before he began final art on his NEXUS: God Con 2-parter. I'm pretty sure that I purchased these from Jim Warden's DOA table, at SDCC.. These are effectively prelims where Rude has made all of his final creative decisions on the Storytelling, over the series. There are a number of last-minute notes (designated in both Black and Red ink) where elements should be shifted or moved.. As previously noted, I'm a bit of a Process Junkie.. So, seeing this stuff up close, was a veritable goldmine!

Thanks, Kevin! Yes, I find these prelims fascinating. It's like getting a film script with notes and storyboard ideas written in the margins.
