Description

I've met a lot of comic-book professionals over the years.. Very few (I've found), end up living up to your expectations?.. Perhaps I was spoiled by the FIRST-ever professional I ever met: Mike Kaluta.. They say you should never meet your Heroes, for fear of disappointment.. But Kaluta is still the nicest & most pleasant artist, I think I've ever known!
In 1985, Mark Askwith invited me to the Hamilton 'SILVER SNAIL' for a Kaluta signing appearance.. I convinced Michael to draw me a 'Rocketeer' sketch. He asked me to fetch some reference for him, from the back-issue bins & went to work.. I think it turned out, pretty spectacular!
