Description

Very happy to add this nice BATMAN artwork to my Kevin Nowlan collection.. Scored it on the August 17-2022 edition of The Dueling Dealers show! I've loved this image, since the first time Kevin posted it in 2010, on his old Blogspot page.. The artwork was commissioned by Upper Deck for inclusion in it's 2004 'VS System' trading card series. Nowlan was asked to create a BATMAN based on the classic Irv Novick/Neal Adams model.. And, it looks like he succeeded! Both the finished pencils, and the ink prelim for this piece, exist elsewhere on CAF.. Owned by collectors Greg Moutafis and Ted Lanting, respectively.

Awesome piece! Sorry I missed it, but always glad to see more VS art on CAF. Kevin Nowlan perfectly captures the card title with this one!
