omigod. omigod. omigod ... now you have excellent pages from my two favorite story arcs of the 1970s, wrightson's run on "swamp thing" and neal's run on "x-men." i've always loved the sentinels, and the beast has always been my favorite x-man (especially the pre-furry beast). my heart skipped a beat when my computer loaded this image. un-freaking-believable.

I've always thought the Sentinels were really menacing & sinister. And drawn by Neal Adams, they look fantastic. What an amazing page. I love the dramatic layout & composition.

I should probably be embarrassed that I have not commented on this one - what a beauty!

What great memories bring this page each time I can see it. It reminds me the days I could find the books done by Neal and especially those incredible X-Men issues inked by Palmer. Not only the art was a pure joy but I also remember the specific happy days of my travel to Belgium hoping I could find these and finally could get one. Congratulations, this is more than a great original art page, it's history, comic book history but also, for each one of us, personal history.

What a great piece! I think many, like me, first saw it in GS X-Men #2.
Best,

An outstanding page from an astounding run! The way Neal Adams grabs you into the story is mind boggling... And that's just about the storytelling: when you add his considerable artistic skills to the mix, this is what you get, a real showstopper!... Congrats!

I have known this page for quite some time, never got around to commenting on it. A piece of comic history, still fresh after all these years. Museum quality.
