DescriptionHighlight page from the Hela storyline running during the Buscema Sinnott run from Thor. No action here, but amazing storytelling: the entire story is here on this page, with each character's role in the drama unfolding perfectly portrayed in each panel. In true Marvel style, the gods on this page are "humanised", stripped down to their very humane emotions and needs. Sinnott's inks cannot be praised enough, when I think about late Silver Age Marvel I think of his inks on FF and Thor. Social/Sharing |

No one did high drama like Big John--this is a truly gorgeous, expressive page of art.

This is probably the most beautiful John Buscema issue of Thor. Exquisite inks by Joe Sinnott here. Congrats on a lovely page!

Wonderful page from a truly epic story arc. Really helps to remind us that comics are about art AND story.

What a fine and elegant pick, Carlo. A really intimate Buscema with Sif and Hela. And Hela is weeping... Deadly good pick!

Powerful, dramatic page! A classic. And yes, Joe Sinnott is absolutely tops. Odin looks like John Romita's work, especially the hair, the nose, his left hand, and the details on his right arm. Whether that figure is Romita or it isn't, this is still an excellent page by some of the All-Time Greats.

I can‘t believe that I missed this page. Great, great page with a last panel that brings me to my knees. What a great team Buscema/Sinnott formed!!
