DescriptionThe Lady Mandarin saga is one of my favourite by Claremont and Lee. I had passed twice on this cover, the third time around I could not miss it! Many thanks to Mario Mendoza for giving me this opportunity. You can really see Lee put a lot of effort and thought into this cover. The spotlight technique is used with a tilted angle, for more dramatic effect. Lady Mandarin's cape is elongated, to make the character even more menacing. And the expressions on the two charatcters are just spot on, in particular Wolverine's stupor from being psycho-cuted by his former ally. Love it! Social/Sharing |

I suppose that is one of those moment you can define as "guilty pleasure". Just when you had a double slice of tiramisù cake and you are on a diet :) huge compliment!

Hey. I never read the comic, but as a kid I loved this cover. It still stands out today. Awesome technique from Lee.

This angers me. I read this issue again recently so I knew for sure they didn't use that Jubilee barcode, but the standard Spidey one. I don't know why they opted to do that; I'd figure they would favor any extra bit of customized art, especially from Jim Lee, but being a big Jubilee fan I'm a little let down because if they used this instead, for me it would've been absolutely perfect. Aside from that, that's exactly what this cover is, and I thank you for sharing it.

This is my second favorite cover from Jim´s run and the first one is also from this Lady Mandarin saga. Absolutely gorgeous please let me know if you are willing to trade this for some of my art. Pretty please.

I am the 25th to comment, so for me this comment is slightly different. How on earth did you get Mario to release this cover from his treasure chest? I have known Mario since 2003, and I also unfortunately know some of the sad history behind this cover for him. With this now in your collection, I believe that it should stay here for quite a while. Congratulations!

What a memorable run Jim Lee had on Uncanny X-Men. Anything from this would be awesome but you got a keeper. Excellent Score!!

I love this cover. Let me ask you people this, how the hell is it possible that Psylocke looks EXACTLY like Angelina Jolie drawn 23 years ago?!?!?!

I actually passed on this cover myself several years ago and always regret that moment in time. I was holding out for something inked by Scott Williams. I'm still waiting. Lol. Jim did a nice job with the layouts and inks. Cheers! N.

This is a splendid cover. I was never a huge Jim Lee fan but his work here is top notch. These are some of the most expressive faces I've seen from Lee coneying a lot of emotion. And it looks outstanding framed in black. Bravo.

I remember thinking about buying this cover on comiclink. The year was 2010. Obviously I did not think fast enough, and yet there was plenty of time in retrospect. Congrats for landing this masterwork of composition.

WOWWWWWWW! Such an emotional cover! The look on Lady Mandarin's face is haunting. The black stare of Wolverine is frightening. The layout and execution is thrilling. Fantastic piece!

This early Lee work is just the best - one of the most memorable Psylocke images ever. Congrats!
