Description

Of All the Amazing pieces of Art That Michael Golden has illustrated over the years one piece that is often mentioned as the Greatest of his Master Pieces: The Merry Marvel Marching Confusion poster from the early 1980's! This poster was offered as a mail away from Sal Q productions and was an Instant Marvel Masterpiece! It summed up the Main Marvel Patheon of characters from the 80's, the same way Kirby's Marvel Pin Ups represented the 1960's and John Buscema's Marvel Pin Ups are associated with the 70's line up of Marvel titles!
This colored guide for the poster was hand colored by Golden himself! The Original pen and ink art has never surfaced all these years so this as close as I have come to dreaming of owning the original! This poster hung proudly in my bed room throughout High School and now this original color piece will hang proudly in my home!

Thanks Kirk! This was a "Must Have" piece for me as this is one of my favorite Golden images ever! Some may have balked at the record price for color guide but what sold me on it was it being Golden's hand painted colors which are so hard to find in his vintage pieces!

I still have the folded up advertising flyer of this that SQ gave out. It may be smaller and it may be folded, but it was in color so I didn't care. Almost bit the bullet and bought the Wildstorm print, but just decided to hang my flyer up instead. Tough call between this and the X-Men/Sentinels piece, but I would be happy with either. LOL

I wish I still had a copy of the original poster that I sent away for as a kid, that hung on my bedroom wall through out high school. I'm extremely happy to have this on my wall now, especially since Golden hand colored it. This piece will always be my favorite Golden piece but the X-men/ Sentinels is Amazing as well!
