Descriptionwhen i first began to collect original art, my primary goals were to get a page of avengers art by george perez and a jack kirby captain america page. i remember reading and loving the marvel double feature comics which reprinted cap's tales of suspense stories and was totally knocked out by the cosmic cube story line and later, i was very excited when kirby returned to marvel to write and draw what i feel is his greatest creation- captain america............. if you had to press me further, i would say that i would have wanted a cap page with the red skull on it. well, this sort of has it all- a large art, jack kirby pencilled, frank giacoia inked (my favorite inker on cap) cap page with the red skull, AND the cosmic cube AND with action. this truly is a page chock full of greatness. i am very, very happy to have this as you would imagine. many thanks to the very patient rob pistella who helped me acquire this beauty! rob is indeed one of the good ones.Social/Sharing |

Nice, every panel is a beauty, especially that last panel with no backgrounds. That was very effective! I can't think of a many better examples of Kirby Cap panel pages. Big congrats Rob!

Now this is just about as good as it gets. If you're trying to explain to someone what is 'special' about original sequential comic book art, just show them this page and save yourself the hassle.

Cap going up against THE prime Cap villain--and Stan and Jack cutting loose with a wild story about absolute power; this is true Marvel magic. Don't panic Cap! And congrats Robert!

Robert, this beautiful page ticks all the boxes. Jack's wonderfully dynamic art complimented perfectly by Frank's inking makes this page literally vibrate.
