Description

There are few things in life quite as sweet lately as a new issue of Hellboy drawn by the great Duncan Fegredo! He began his run with Darkness Calls and I was immediately captivated with what I call his (and he hates this, so please don't say it to him) "Feg-nola" style. The series itself didn't do much for me, but I still thumb through Duncan's art from that series even today, just to burn each and every image into my art-addled mind. This page in particular, though, is a great example of why Duncan captures the essence of what Mike Mignola infused into the Hellboy universe from the very first issues. Agreed! This page just crackles with energy. An amazing inking job on top of an amazing pencil layout!
