Oh, WOW. I'm a big Wood fan (actually, I'm only 5' 10 & 1/2"). And this is a fabulous homage.

Mark, thank you. While most of his predecessors saw comic books as a stepping stone in their artistic careers, Wood saw storytelling as his primary artistic medium. I believe he was one of the first artists to intentionally devote himself to our favorite art form. His contributions speak for themselves and I love his work. It is simply heart breaking to consider how he chose to live and eventually end his life.
