DescriptionI really loved the little corner of the Bat-universe with Robin an Birds of Prey in the early 90's, mostly written by Chuck Dixon, with art by a lot of great artists, notably Tom Grummett, one of my favorite artists of all-time. I'm not a big Batman fan, but I did really enjoy the dynamics with The Huntress in those days and while Harley wasn't really in the DCU proper, she was starting to pop up in those days too.When Tom was announced for Galaxy Con, I decided to go ahead and get a Huntress commission, but wanted to do something a little special, so I added Harley to the mix. Whenever I see Harley, I think of my great friend Carl who has passed away. He was probably the world's first and biggest die hard Harley fan, so whenever I get art with her, it's a tip of the hat to his memory. Thanks, of course, to Byron Hamm for setting this up in advance and to Tom, again, who is not just one of comics' great talents, but one of its kindest gentlemen. Social/Sharing |
