Description

Another great page of miscellaneous character studies. This is one of my favorite type pages. At the lower left is Cissy Cortez - Cigar Miss. DeBeck describes her as a "Hot Spanish doll - sweet accent - Dees Man - etc." Right above her is Nix Flannagan, a stereotypical Irish cop, drawn with some wonderful line work. Snif McHolmes is the "House Bloodhound", and probably my favorite character on the page. The line work and body language that DeBeck imparted on him is just wonderful. The little touch of the toothpick in the mouth is great. Lastly is Room Clerk "Owens", who DeBeck describes as "A Petty Grafter". Owens has sort of a blank expression, with not as much character as the others on this page.
