Description

I met Philip Tan at a convention in 2005 (or perhaps 2006, can’t remember exactly) when he’d just finished the first story arc for X-23 that transitioned the character to comic books from her successful appearance in X-Men: Evolution. It was disappointing when he mentioned he wouldn’t be taking on any commissions at the time – he already had a full slate that required dealing with. I like to believe that he’d remembered my request, almost ten years on, when I saw this piece on his art dealer’s web site, and at a reasonable price besides. I was more than happy to close the deal!
