Description

This became a bit of a grail piece for me. Billy had drawn this before he began work on his (excellent) Sgt Rock mini-series for DC Comics, as part of a story pitch. I fell for this drawing immediately, but when I emailed Billy, it had already been spoken for. Much later I met Mark Sparacio at a local convention, and he had colour prints for sale based on the original drawing, providing a consolation prize of sorts. When I chanced upon the original after almost seven, years, I could not pass up the opportunity of adding this wonderful Jade to my collection.

To me, Billy imbued this figure with undeniably graceful body language, but it was mostly her serene expression which captured my attention.
