DescriptionTalk about wheeling and dealing!First of all, what can we say about the beauty of this George Perez cover from my all-time favorite era of the World's Greatest Comic Magazine, the Fantastic Four featuring the whole team and super spooky villain, The Eliminator. Perfect inks by the amazing Joe Sinnott with all of the elements we'd expect, from Kirby crackle to the tell-tale Perez rubble strewn about. This cover has always been one of my top 3 grails, and I was super bummed when I missed out on this when it came up for auction at Heritage. But luckily I was able to track down the buyer and convince him that it needed to be in my collection. It took a lot of work to raise the funds, but I'm thrilled beyond words to be the new caretaker of this amazing Perez cover. Social/Sharing |

What a cover. That is awesome that it all worked out and attaining something believed to be out of reach is always fun.

All that comic art on the walls destoryed! It makes Eliminator a hated if not memorable of a villain! The Sinnott inks over Perez is as smooth as butter.

Such a great cover! Congrats on getting a personal grail! The Eliminator was also a cool villain that deserved more than a one-time appearance.

The 70s and early 80s were such a great time, Byrne, Miller, and Perez! Just an awesome cover!

If one had the time to count, this may be the 1 million, 8 hundred and 95th time someone started a comment with, "I remember buying that one off the spinner rack!"
Anyway, I DO remember buying this one off the spinner rack. Those were great days, when some change in your pocket could be turned into several nights of reading by flashlight under the covers after mom and dad went to bed. Good days, my friends. Good days.
Great cover, too!
