I guess I should provide background? Humphrey was a friend and sometime sparring partner of Joe Palooka. Humphrey is very fat, but is super-strong and while dim-witted he has a heart of gold. His "day job" is working as a blacksmith, and I suspect he is a distant relative of Little Lotta. Humphrey had his own comic series, "Humphrey Comics" (published by Harvey) which ran for a respectable 22 issues from 1948 to 1952.
