Description

Here's what Heritage had to say about this piece: Mike Ploog Supergirl Movie Storyboard Original Art (Warner Brothers, 1984). This scene features Zaltar (played by Peter O'Toole) and Supergirl (Helen Slater) from the 1984 movie. Created in Conte crayon on 11" x 5" paper affixed to a 11.75" x 8.5" Storyboard card.

I always wanted some Ploog storyboard art but never had any luck until this piece. I was lucky enough to win the auction for $10. Of course, after all the fees, it wound up costing $57. That's not bad for Ploog art but the auction fees keep me from throwing out cheap bids on practically anything like I used to do years ago.

It's still a good price for the artist, the subject, and the vintage. It's all Ploog's handwriting too and it's a part of comic book movie history.

Definitely a great price for Ploog but some other art that I'd be willing to pay $10-30 for, I avoid because I don't want to pay $50-70 for it.
