Description

Although Heritage Auctions described this as a "layout drawing," it is, in fact the drawing used for making the cel and background version of one of the six cel and background stills for the cartoon. I already had 4 of the other such drawiings, all of which have color indications for painting the cels, along with simple line drawings for the corresponding background paintings. I used to have the inked, line drawing for the sixth, showing Gus taking the whole cake for himself and giving the tiny piece left over to Donald, but I sold it to a friend more than 20 or so years ago. I have never seen the "cel drawing" for that piece.
