Weirdly, I looked at this and now I can't get the Violent Femmes "Gone Daddy Gone" out of my head, which is just a meaningless indication of how my brain works sometimes. More to the point, it's a classic cover. Kurtzman was the perfect artist to launch Mad.

A great one with the Kurtzman humor and figure drawing that take an animation approach. This is one of those classic issues that had been reprinted in MAD Super Spectacular, book collections, etc. that introduced multiple generations to the masters who had done these groundbreaking early issues.

Incredible on so many levels. Great piece of humor and comic art history all in one. Congrats. Takes a lot to make me truly jealous or envious, and this does both!
