Description

Cover to issue 47, 5th series. (Who can tell WHICH series they are up to now). I love this cover solely for the concept, and not what it meant literally to the storyline. The story gets a bit convoluted. The thumbnail version is the guy on the throne (AJ) might or might not be Aquaman & Mera's son that was raised in a "realm" and was quickly aged when coming into Aquaman's universe. AJ got confused and thought HE was Arthur/Aquaman and went out to de-throne him.

But forget all that and just enjoy the concept of the HOOK-hand Aquaman getting taken out by the 2-handed Aquaman. The art by Califiore and Mckenna is just brilliant. And although don't own the color art by Patrick Martin, it is equally stellar. For all the Aquaman art I've collected, it is nice to own such a great COVER!

One of the more memorable covers from that cool run ! Congrats on a great image of 2 versions of Aquaman !
