Hawkman + Hawkgirl + Kubert = GRAIL!

I may have collected my final grail piece. I know, I know. Collectors say that all the time. And maybe the same will happen to me. But for a very very very long time, I have wanted a Kubert Hawkman piece and I've finally gotten it done. I just can't imagine longing for any other piece the way I have for this (and a few others I consider grails).

When I first started collecting comic art, I was collecting "everything I loved" (meaning DC, Marvel, and others). But I came to realize I couldn't afford to collect everything and a decision had to be made. It was tough but I went with DC.

Shortly after that decision I got a page from B&B 51. That was the second issue to feature a team-up of two heroes; Aquaman and Hawkman in this case. At that point, it made sense to me to continue keeping a special eye toward those two characters. Not exclusively, of course. But certainly trying to acquire them when the opportunity presented itself. And here it is... the piece I've long desired.
