Description

Kurt Schaffenberger is best remembered for his stretch doing "Superman's Girlfriend Lois Lane" from 1958 to 1968. Few of those original pages survive and most seem to come from one sequence where Lois Lane goes into the past and doesn't look her usual self, one such page is on my Lowry. Fortunately for those who are fans of his version of Lois, the comic "Superman Family" featured "Mr. and Mrs. Superman" that covered the adventures of Earth II Lois and Supes in what looks like the 1950's. This one has an unusually faithful rendition of Kurt's glory days version of Lois and the return a very early novelty villain, Funny Face who could make comic strip characters come to life. If only he used his great ability to produce flesh and blood versions of comic hotties instead of for evil.
