Description

The title only scratches the surface of this one�the final piece I received from Tim Sale, a true illustration MASTER, an amazing storyteller, but most importantly, a friend many of us miss to this day. I have many memories of this weekend, Timmy seeing me and coming up to hug me, both of us shedding a tear over the recently departed (at the time), Darwyn Cooke, having dinner that night with a good group of us, talking baseball with Timmy and him grumping over the decibel level at Cornish Pasty Company, it goes on and on.

There�s so many things I wish I could have told him before he passed, but I always told him how much I cared for his friendship, and how I respected how magnanimous he was with all of us. That is one regret I don�t carry. Godspeed Bossman, we all miss you, and we love and think of you always.

Great piece by Tim. I am so glad I made the trip to Seattle in 2018 to see Tim. Who knew it would be the last time?

Lovely story and a lovely piece of art. I only got to meet Tim once, but like the late Darwyn, he sounds like a great man and a great friend who was taken too soon. Thanks for sharing.
