This is an amazing piece. Weeks is one of the half dozen or so artists that I NEED to add to my Elektra collection. Hope springs eternal, :-) Congrats!!!
Piece is damned gorgeous!!! People that were able to get in on his commission openings were rewarded with truly beautiful pieces!
Sweet bejesus!!! This is GORGEOUS. One of the best he's done in years, congratulations on a stellar pickup.
As per usual, Tim brings the HEAT...nice con weekend for you Mike, this is my fave of your so far, but you had some stellar pickups, congrats!!! Sorry to have missed you man.
This piece is simply GORGEOUS. Ardian knocked the cover right off of the ball!!! WOW.
I should have known, if anyone had pages from this book, it would be the mighty Mr. Mandel. :-) Simply gorgeous, and this period of Miller's career is by FAR the most polished and passionate, IMHO. INCREDIBLE. As always, thanks for the share David.
Saw this on Canete's blog, somehow I KNEW it was for you. Congrats, this one's gorgeous!!!
Sweet pickup MonsterMan!!! Pretty ingenious of you to select Planet Hulk for Finch...ginormous, muscular and badass, I know it's a bit out of Finch's comfort zone, but I'd say he nailed it. HEH. :-)
My fave Van Sciver X-Men cover, his rendtion of Emma is perfect. Interesting changes on the published version of this, from the image reversal, to the photoshopped removal of the background character. BIG CONGRATS!!!
One of my fave Hughes' pieces in the entirety of CAF...BEAUTIFUL. :-)
This one's a classic as well...I like it when Joe takes the time to give his non-Dawn pieces different facial characteristics...so many of them look like Dawn with different coloured hair and outfits...not the case with this one. Beauty.
Aaahhh, another fellow Elektra fan, be good to see someone posting pieces of the clad in red assassin besides me...this is my fave that you've posted so far...nice diversity of artists as well. :-)
Congrats on getting your Supergirl by Hughes, and one of the best con hauls I have seen that was not powered by scads of cash, but good fortune and good karma. It could not have happened to a nicer guy, and I'm glad we wound up in the front of line in Seattle about five years ago, not just because of the fab art I pulled that year, and afterwards, but the good friend I've made....have a great rest of the year Brian, hope to see you one more time, before I hit the beautiful RSA! :-)
....as I told you after you first got this one...she even throws like a girl...as SUPER as she might be!!!! :-) Brilliant piece by Joelle, one of the most fun pieces you got this weekend. Always fab to see you Brian, glad your haul turned out to be ACES!!!
Very nice add to one of the better Gambit/Rogue galleries on CAF...nice ECCC haul Jason, and was good to see you like always!!! Have a fab year man, stay in touch!!!
Beautiful piece by one of the most underrated artists and masters of the industry. Will be contacting Mr. Chan as soon as I return from ECCC to have him add to my Elektra gallery as well. Congrats!
Beautiful, I love it...you had a great weekend didn't ya boyo!!! Congrats B.
Damn E, you really killed this one...love the work done on the spinning Maceball...that looks really good, aside from the other obvioius ASSets. HEH. Very nicely done, and if this is for the collector I think it's for, he'll be very, very happy. :-)
Nice grab, cool that Cheung modeled Hulk's hair on your spiky do. HEH.
Awesome piece Michael, love how this piece has taken shape...but I'm reminded of a scene from one of my fave movies, "you're gonna need a bigger board." HEH.
OMG!!! Of course the piece is in your gallery, the guy who already has THE BEST Elektra commission by Bill...bastardo! LOL Congrats again, George.
stunning piece by Bill, and one of the best half dozen or so of the countless Elektra commissions I have seen posted...big time score, CONGRATS! I'm more than a bit jealous, considering his absence from my Elektra gallery has been a thorn in my side for years...LOL
As usual, Barry brings the pain...fabulous pickup man...glad you finally made it to the extravaganza known as the Kitson party! :-)
ooohhh, this is SWEET! Great pickup Mikey...missed you this year man, hope the con was great as usual...I'll see you in 2011 bud, chatting with you was one of the things I missed the most this year, but I have a big trip to the other side of the world coming up this year, so some things had to wait...but three days of goodness in 2011...COOL. :-)
Beautiful piece by Choi, must put him at the top of my list at the next opportunity. Missed you in Seattle, how you been? Hope all is well.
Ahhh-not a pickup, but a piece done for a fan; sorry about that Mike, Regardless, great piece of art, I'm sure your fan was very happy!
Very beautiful piece and an excellent portrayal of the femme fatale. Great pickup, MIke did some really nice work on this one.
J.G. is a peach of a guy, and I was also lucky enough to receive a piece from him in Baltimore this year. The Catwoman you received is a beauty, and just shows that luck and a little bit of attention go a long ways. Congrats!
Beautiful and one of the best additions to your one of a kind gallery yet. I love, love the subject; old schoold Marvel Westerns were always a fave of mine, and this is a very worthy complement to a perfect original. Congrats!
Beautiful piece by the Dude...I love the use of the watercolor on the birds, it really adds a nice subtle finishing touch to this one. Congrats Alex!
Great addition to one of the more original themes on CAF. Steve never disappoints with his Cap pieces, and he sure went all out on this one. AWESOME.
Wow, the bounty from your Toronto Fan Expo never ends...Darwyn is just a master, and this piece is just another example of his greatness. Congrats!
As I said over at SF, CONGRATS! This piece is a beauty, and Darwyn is the Man. Awesome, awesome, awesome.
The Boss on The Boss---well done John, and very good rendtion by Tim. Congrats on a another special piece added to the collection.
Great pickup Chris! I'm sorry to have missed the BBQ...how could you not have mentioned Tim's wings? I hear they're better than his inkwashes. :-) Oh well, I guess I'll just have to wait till Seattle in 2010.
Holy crap. :-) I love when a theme brings out something special in an artist, and The Dark Knight Falls has definitely brought out Brando's best. Congrats Dave, this is phenomenal. Peterson's best commission, bar none.
One of the best White Queen pieces done my anyone...ever. Congrats, it's perfect.
Very cool piece Marko, Darwyn brings the NOIZE as always! Congrats.
...and he brought his spicy rubbed chicken wings, you greedy bastard. ;-)
Holy Cow...one of the definite all-time grails of the modern age of comics. Your Miller gallery is danged impressive. Hell, who am I kidding, your entire gallery is impressive. Thank you much for sharing, it's appreciated.
Congrats JBolt! Sometimes it's obvious that an artist went above and beyond on a commission, and that is obviously the case here. Very, very nice.
Holy Cow! This one is phenomenal! It's as good as anything Nebres produced in the magazine Deadly Hands and that's saying a lot because he was doing some incredible stuff back in the day. Congrats on a very choice pickup.
