Description

Elektra was the female icon of my adolescents. I was reading daredevil and just getting into martial arts and everything seemed to click. Miller's run on Daredevil is still among my all time favorite comic stories as is his follow up in Elektra Assassin. It was Elektra Assassin that introduced me to Bill Sienkiewicz and the stuff he was doing. I knew his artwork from New Mutants and Moon Knight but that was ink work and all of a sudden there was this gorgeous painted work. My favorite covers from that series were of course #1 but moreso #4. There was so much about this cover that I loved. I have long since given up hope of ever owning the original so I asked Bill this year to do a recreation of it of sorts. I asked for Daredevil to replace Garrett. Here is what Bill did and I couldn't be happier.

Hey, Jeff, congrats about getting this piece! It's beautiful! And I agree with your choice about DD. But I'm surprised that you convinced Bill to do it. I just hope that you didn't hurt him too much and the waiting counted in months and not in years! ;-)

Hi Ferran, this was done at a convention as a convention sketch. I waited a few hours for it. When Bill is on, he can do his magic even in a short period of time.
