Description

This is a nostalgia piece for me. One of my first comic purchases as a kid was Monsters on the Prowl #17, which featured a reprint of this story. Separate from that however, I love this piece because it is a great example of Kirby's "kinetic energy" composition. You can "feel" the Colossus bursting forth!

One of the first pieces of Kirby art I ever owned -- and the first I regretted selling. There's more art on that thing than a normal monster splash, and the visual impact of that dude hunched over is amazing. Congrats on owning this -- it's a beauty.
