Description

What is more fitting as a tribute to Mike Wieringo than to show his story... a tribute to Will Eisner. This story was entitled, "Urban Legend", and appeared in Batman: Gotham Knights 24. It was written by Todd DeZago, with Wieringo pencils and inks by Karl Story. I like having complete stories, but they are always tough getting pages from both penciler and inker. This is the splash, using "Batman" as a design element as Eisner did with the "Spirit".

Should an incredibly cool strip, a lot of heavy Toth style inking on the first pages, what is there not to love about this!

Actually.... more Eisner-inspired than Toth according to Mike way back when.

Congrats on putting together this wonderful short story. Mike Wieringo knocked this out of the part! These pages are a great example of his fun visual storytelling, he really was a one of a kind artist.
