DescriptionMarvel Preview #11 Star Lord splash page 1 original art (Marvel, 1977). The first page of art ever done by the team of John Byrne and Terry Austin. Austin inscribed this piece to artist Jim Lee. Byrne and Chris Claremont signed it as well. The image was also used in a subscription ad for Marvel's magazine line.Social/Sharing |

Hey James, Congrats on your win~ I was the last bidder in this trying desperately to get it. I loved this book when I first picked it up as a 13 year old in 1977. It made a huge impression on me. If you ever wish to trade or sell this please do let me know.

I remember Marvel Preview & Starlord well! Congrads on this gem! I'm hunting down Man-God pages from Marvel Preview #9 myself!

This piece has not aged a single nano-second ! It was amazing then and it's just as amazing now. A great example from this brilliant art team !

Congratulations on landing such a spectacular piece of history, it's like having the original studio tape of the Beatles first song...well at least to me it is ; ) Jim is missing it already!

I remember copying this on my Trapper Keeper at school when I was 7. Always loved this book. Super jealous!!!

Most art teams take a few issues to break in but Byrne and Austin were magic from the first page!
