Description

This is in our next batch of things to get framed, so I took the opportunity to scan it. By artist John Richard Flanagan, it's from the December 1937 issue of the pulp magazine, Blue Book. It illustrates "Son of the Dragon King", purportedly by H. Bedford-Jones and Captain L.B. Williams. In actuality, it's just by Bedford-Jones, as Williams was one of his pseudonyms.

His work in the pulps is terrific. Such a bold line and less general pen play than his Colliers work.
