I think that this piece is a preliminar for the cover of the book published by Berkley as you can see here: http://qurls.com?i=1771 Still, you own a great painting and a spectacular collection of Sienkiewicz art! Congratulations!

Recently I purchased the "originals" used in the covers of Dune #3 limited series and Marvel Super Special #36. I could see from these, that Sienkiewicz made some requested changes above a photographic copy from the original painted art. So, the Dune #3 original art was a reproduction with some painted retouchs on the faces and the worm. I tell you this because thanks to it, I deduce that something alike happened with your cover. The final cover that Sal is trying to sell is a reproduction from your painting, but some changes were done. I suppose that all the backround is painted above the reproduction, and the face was retouched to look like the actor. So I wouldn't consider your painting as a preliminar since all the body of the starring was used.

Fantastic painting. Bill's art in the comic was the best thing that came from the movie.

This is absolutely fantastic : if one comic artist can pair with David Lynch, it can only be Sienkiewicz ! Congrats for that stunning cover !
