Description

I have wanted to get this commission for quite a while now, I just wasn't sure which artist I would be able to have complete it. When I saw that Scott McDaniel had opened up his commission list I contacted him immediately. Since Scott did such a great job I decided to have it inked. Andy Owens was the obvious choice, and he made a great commission even better. It is cover quality.

This is a reimagination of A Death in the Family. It features the Joker holding a telethon to determine if a bomb covered Jason Todd will live or die. He is answering a phone (that isn't plugged in) while Mr. Freeze, the Riddler, Scarecrow and Penguin answer phones in the background. The surrounding bubbles are characters calling in to cast their votes. Voting to live: Batman, Nightwing, Harvey Dent, Commissioner Gordon & Superman. Voting to die: Catwoman, Tim Drake (he really wanted the Robin gig), Two-Face, Killer Croc and Clayface. It looks like it is going to be a landslide victory for Jason to live.....until The Red Hood adjusts the number!!!
