You dont see too much Briefer out there. And almost never any of his non humor stuff. One of my rare finds on eBay, back when it was worth a damn. The panel with the old man has always reminded me of Jack Davis.

At last, a horror piece from this series. If you ever wish to part with it, let me know. I have been looking and looking for an example by Briefer that wasn't part of the humor series for some time. Great piece! Truly, thank you for sharing.

My dad used to tell me about this comic and it took on a legendary status with me. When I was still a kid going to cons, I looked but I could never find the horror books, only the later humor books, and they never really did much for me. Now, seeing this rather remarkable page, I can see why it stayed in my dad's memory banks. Finding pages like this is a cause for celebration.
