I feel bad for you.
I love the Wood style Easter eggs of Mickey Mouse, etc. And Stengel and Johnny Podres. What a great illustration.
Thanks for helping out CAM. It is a great piece.
This is incredible.
One of the first European stories I read in the 80s. Really cool.
You can really get lost in this one. Beautifully rendered.
It's a "Frazetta/Davis/Kurtzman"-looking kick-ass page for sure. A+
No Shark repellent? (Cool cover)
How do you run around causing mayhem in heels like that? Great piece, in the right collection.
Pretty Cool image. Years ago, when I was an AD in NYC, I hired Continutiy to do some storyboard finishes I had drawn up. One was a jungle setting, and Neal told me he was going to have Rudy do it because, as he put it, "No one does jungles better than Rudy." It was indeed beautiful. No clue where it is, too many moves over the years.
A striking image. Love his brush work.
A beautiful strip, Jeff. I need to find this collected somewhere and give it a read.
THAT'S WHAT I'M TALKIN' ABOUT! 100%
That's a nice one. And stretched! Most of mine are on masonite or board. I do have a few early ones stretched, but they are wonky. This one looks constructed well, it's huge, and the figure is awesome. Nice get. A+
Well, as you well know, if Phil hangs onto them for too long, even published paintings get a makeover. Great piece, glad you rescued it.
That's a really cool piece. One of the auctions I watched out of curiosity
I still have all of these cards and there was a time when I actually thought I would bring them to San Diego and start getting them signed by artists. But since I refuse to wait in line-- even for a cup of coffee, that wasn't going to ever come to fruition. This is a cool one, for sure!
Holy cow this is cool. How did I miss this all those years ago?
We've talked about this. John Cuneo is a genius. Watching him start in one corner and just start making an image, no blue line, no pencil--- it is fascinating.
