DescriptionROM trades his Space Knight-ness to the computer-being Quasimodo, in exchange for having his organic body restored to him. Obviously this will not end well. From the 1983 Bill Mantlo story: "Lead Me Not Into Temptation." The inks in the bottom panel are KILLER!Social/Sharing |

This has to be one of the best-looking pieces of ROM art that I have seen. I still can't get over that amazing bottom panel. Big congrats Steve!

Akin & Garvey's inks were what made this mid-period of the book special.

Absolutely stunning- Akin & Garvey's inks did soooo much to enhance Sal's already classic pencils. Really great piece (gotta love Rom!)

This is one of the better Rom pages I've seen. Cheers to Sal, Akin & Garvey for creating it and you for acquiring it.

I agree with you: Akin and Garvey make this piece a top notch. the details are astonishing and even if I've never been a ROM fan, with pages like this, I would have become one. Gold inks piece!

LOVE Akin and Garvey's deep, fluid inks here. Looks like I could walk right into this page--and Rom is gleaming! Congrats Steve, jealous over this one...

I have never read Rom but this Amazing half splash makes me want to go out and buy the whole run! Great inks! Is the background in the bottom panel done with zip-a-tone?

Akin & Garvey finishing Sal's layouts was the very best art in the run- I wish they'd stayed for the entire series! GREAT page from one of my all-time favorite series!
