I'm glad to finally be able to add a watercolor Canyon Kiddies panel by Jimmy Swinnerton to my collection. As prolific as Swinnerton was, his watercolors are the hardest to find, and maybe the most desirable of his works. This piece appeared in Good Housekeeping, and while I was able to find the tearsheet for the piece (see additional image), I do not know the date of publication. It was likely published in the 1930s.

You can see that the folks at Good Housekeeping flipped the image horizontally, likely for design purposes. The watercolors have faded just a hair, but largely remain nice and vibrant.

Would have been a high end publication to be able to print this in its full glorious color!

A great artist. A pioneer in his appreciative and respectful way of rendering Native Americans. And beyond rare. Congrats!
