Cool! I thought John Byrne still had this, but clearly someone made him an offer he could not refuse!

I just recently finished reading the trade paperback for this run again. It was so nice being able to revisit all this wonderful artwork. Neal truly is a master and a legend. Congratulations on this fantastic example from the series!

One of my first comics. The idea of a weak, or inadequate superpower was totally unexpected to me. As an eight year old I pondered over this page.

The best Neal Adams page on CAF and one of the best interior pages on CAF... only your Steranko page is better on my personal top ten pages!

The stylization and graphic layout just scream Steranko!
It's just so funny to then find your comment. I cherished this book, when I was young. Such powerful work.

An awesome original from the glory days!!! It was so exciting to see what characters Neal Adams would tackle next. And Tom Palmer was in full bloom...exciting times!!

Even now, decades after its creation, this splash still amazes. The art, layout and seamless composition just draw you in. It doesn't hurt that Adams was a master of expression, anatomy and setting. Congratulations on an amazing page!

Well, I just pushed this page into the 2,000 views and am the 28th to comment on what Roy Thomas, Neal Adams, and Tom Palmer created as one of the most memorable story arcs for the Sentinels. Their nine issue run was too short, but O' did it create lasting images for posterity.

I saw this page about 20 years ago, framed and on the wall in John Byrne's comic library room. He had three pieces up - this one, a Miller cover, and one that has been lost to the recesses of my memory. Absolutely gorgeous.

The first Adams X-Men issue I found was this one. Opening it and finding this very page was a life-changing experience! Never would I see comics the same way again! Oh, and my theory on Lorna Dane's outfit? Apart from Jim Steranko and Neal Adams, nobody could do it justice... That's why they all gave up on it, except for John Byrne's brave retrofitting series...

Was once hanging on John Byrne's wall near his drawing board in Fairfield CT many moons ago.

Like others - I remember seeing this on Byrne's wall years ago. The inscription to John was in reference to the fact that Tom Palmer never received a single Neal Adams X-Men page back from Marvel with art returns. So, it was kind of John to ask if Tom was OK with John owning the piece before getting it signed.

Amazing splash by Adams and Palmer! I love this period of Adams' work--He could seemingly do no wrong. And Palmer's inks always bring out his best! Terrific pick-up!
