DescriptionI was hired to restore this cover, and it provided an interesting challenge! The logo and blurbs were handled in the standard way: Scanned from the printed comic, resized, de-colored and sharpened, then printed on color matched, stat-like paper. The stained glass background was added to the printed comic digitally, so I had to digitally re-create it, then print it out on the same stat-like paper. The background was cut and pasted using archival adhesive, then the logo and blurbs were cut and pasted on top of it. As you can see, there's a startling difference from all the blank space on the original art!(James is available for hire to replace missing logos and lettering on comic book and comic strip art and to do cover re-creations and commissions.
