I recently came across the art of Disney Imagineer Marc Davis and fell in love with his piece "Alligator Girl" from The Haunted Mansion. I knew that I would never own one by Marc so I decided that I would commission Josh to do his take on the piece. Boy am I glad that I did. Josh totally hit it out of the ballpark and way past the fence.

I wanted Josh to make the piece on two separate 11x17 boards so that each piece could stand alone by itself. To do that Josh had to increase the size of the Alligator as if it is closer to the viewer but it just lends itself to the fate that awaits the tightrope walker if she were to fall.

I absolutely love Josh's take of the tightrope walker. She looks like she is completely oblivious to anything that is going on around her. She has no clue at all what is awaiting her below if she falls. And who can resist one of Josh great animals. The alligator looks ferocious. There is no way that Josh could have done anything to make this piece better then he did.
It is absolutely fantastic.

Josh even said that his wife was so taken with the piece that she demanded he make one for her also. You know you chose a great subject when others want one as well.

Size 11x17 for single half. 11x34 for complete art.

I have to agree with you there, Todd. Josh's work just keeps getting better and better each time I get a piece from him.
