DescriptionAs Stan Lee might've described it, "Two titanic artists featured together on one pulse pounding cover!"In Aug. 1970 artist Jack Kirby achieved a Marvel milestone he so richly desired: an autonomous Inhuman's series using his art and for the first time stamped with his exclusive writing credit. The irony is that by the time this issue finally saw print, Kirby had left the company. Amazing Adventures remains his last cover work on a Marvel #1 before his departure for DC. This iss. also marks Marvel's first attempt at a hero series with a solo female lead, and as a co-equal in a double feature book. Artist John Romita Sr. had already sown the seeds by giving Black Widow a make-over in the pages of ASM #86 that july. This independent Natasha Romanov clad in her new black skin tight garb would define the character moving forward in both comics and movies. Social/Sharing |

Always have LOVED this cover and this series--some of my fave characters, inexplicably in one crazy title. This cover is awesome: bombastic Kirby and beautiful Buscema all on the same cover--so jealous!

I so wish I had jumped on this piece when it was available back in the olden days. Kirby/Romita/Inhumans/Black Widow... you hit for the cycle. Congrats!

I'm usually not a fan of split covers, but DAMN this is sweet! Actually, it's like getting two covers in one.
